I really enjoyed working with Tanya on a story about our local podcast. She came to our interview well-prepared, asking insightful questions that made for a thoughtful and engaging conversation. Her ability to distill key details and craft a compelling narrative was evident in the final article, which captured the essence of the podcast—its origins, purpose, and what goes into making each episode. She truly knows how to bring a story to life while ensuring the message is clear and impactful. I hope to partner with Tanya again on future projects!

Tanya Scherschel has been instrumental in securing publicity for the O’Fallon Garden Club. When our Garden Club recently won the 1st place Award from the National Garden Club for growing and donating more produce to the Food Pantry (5,300 lbs) than any other Garden Club in the country, Tanya reached out to NPR and invited them to tour our Garden. NPR photographed our garden and members at work for publishing, and also interviewed our members for their podcast. When the NGC Central Region Convention and National Garden Club president came to O”Fallon for their Convention and toured our Community Garden, Tanya collected photos and submitted an article published in the January 2025 edition of the National Gardener Magazine. She also submitted publicity requests to the City of O’Fallon for their publications and marquees. The O’Fallon Garden Club is now known throughout the state of Illinois and nationally because of her expertise.

Tanya is a wonderful writer. Very punctual and gets stories in on time with ease. She is dedicated to her work and has produced some fantastic human interest pieces for my newspaper. I feel fortunate she reached out to me about writing and hope to continue to use her talents whenever she has time and interest. Any publication or organization would be enhanced by her skill and experience.

Tanya Scherschel has worked for me this year at The O’Fallon Empty Bowl Luncheon as our social media specialist and publicist. She did a fantastic job working on our social media presence posting often about our event and engaging our base. She was creative and contemporary while building on our small footprint. As a nonprofit we have struggled to let our community know details about our annual event, but Tanya jumped right in and worked to expand out network. She responded immediately and professionally to any and all comments and used all of her resources to make this event a success!

Tanya is an amazing writer who has the gift of bringing humor to everything she creates. I read her articles and essays and laugh out loud. I hope she someday puts together a book of her funny parenting essays because I will be the first to buy it!
